Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Tubeofile, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The Service

Tubeofile is a free, community-driven vacuum tube reference and collection management tool. The service is provided "as is" and "as available."

Your Account

  • You must provide a nickname during sign-up. Nicknames are permanent and publicly visible.
  • You are responsible for your account activity. Keep your sign-in credentials secure.
  • One account per person. Do not create accounts for automated or bulk use.

Your Content

  • You retain ownership of any content you upload (photos, notes, collection data).
  • By uploading content, you grant Tubeofile a non-exclusive license to store and display it as part of the service.
  • Do not upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on others' rights.

Tube Data

  • Tube specifications, parameters, and reference data are gathered from public sources and provided for informational purposes only.
  • Data may contain errors. Always verify critical values against manufacturer datasheets before use in circuit design or equipment.
  • Tubeofile is not responsible for any damage resulting from reliance on tube data provided by the service.

Adapters and Tube Compatibility

  • Adapter compatibility information, including equivalent tubes, near-equivalents, and socket-compatible tubes, is provided for informational reference only.
  • Socket-compatible does not mean electrically compatible. A tube that physically fits an adapter may have incompatible voltage, current, or power requirements that can damage your equipment or tubes.
  • Near-equivalents may have different operating parameters and should not be assumed to be safe substitutes without verification.
  • Always verify electrical compatibility against manufacturer datasheets and your equipment's specifications before using any tube with an adapter.
  • Tubeofile is not responsible for any damage to equipment, tubes, or persons resulting from the use of adapters or tube substitutions based on information provided by the service.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Abuse the service (spam, automated scraping, denial-of-service)
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
  • Upload malicious files or content
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR OPERATORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SERVICE.

Limitation of Liability

Tubeofile and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damage to equipment, arising from your use of the service.

Account Deletion

  • You may delete your account at any time from the Profile page.
  • Deleting your account permanently removes all your collection data, photos, and tester readings. This cannot be undone.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
