Heater-to-Cathode Voltage (max)Heater-to-Cathode Voltage (max)90V
Max Grid Resistor
Notes
The 5670 is a ruggedized special-quality version of the 2C51, with derated maximum ratings for improved reliability. GE rates Va_max at 300V and Pa_max at 1.5W, versus 330V and 1.6W for the standard 2C51.
Rg_max is 1 MΩ with fixed bias and 2 MΩ with cathode bias (from 2C51 datasheet).
Internal shield on pin 5 should be connected to cathode for specified capacitance values.
Certified for airborne use up to 80,000 feet with low microphony.
Originally developed from the 2C51 for computer and military applications. The 396A is the JAN (Joint Army-Navy) military designation for the same basic design.
Heater current is 0.350A (GE datasheet) — some sources list 0.300A which applies to the 2C51/396A; verify for specific manufacturer.
