Notes
- Designed specifically for low-noise audio preamplifier applications — lower noise than general-purpose pentodes.
- Used in early Fender amplifiers (Tweed Champ, Princeton, Deluxe) as the first preamp stage.
- No direct pin-compatible equivalent exists. The EF86/6267 has similar electricals but a different pinout.
- Pin 1 is an internal shield connection and should be grounded for minimum noise.
