Similar Tubes (Not Drop-In Compatible)
6267
Same tube as EF86 — same electricals but incompatible pinout Similar sharp-cutoff pentode but Loctal base — not pin-compatible Similar low-noise AF pentode but different Noval pinout — not a drop-in substitute Electrical Specifications

Notes
Designed specifically for low-noise audio preamplifier applications — lower noise than general-purpose pentodes. Used in early Fender amplifiers (Tweed Champ, Princeton, Deluxe) as the first preamp stage. No direct pin-compatible equivalent exists. The EF86/6267 has similar electricals but a different pinout. Pin 1 is an internal shield connection and should be grounded for minimum noise. Pin Layout — Noval
