Notes
Each tube is given a 45-hour run-in under overload, vibration, and shock conditions to screen out early failures before shipping.
Constructed with ceramic spacers instead of mica, Nonex hard glass bulb, and tungsten stem seals for extreme reliability under vibration (up to 500G shock) and high temperature (up to 300°C bulb temperature).
The Bendix datasheet specifies higher maximum ratings than the original Tung-Sol 6AR6: 750V max plate voltage and 30W max plate dissipation vs 565V/19W for the 6AR6. Screen voltage ratings also differ: 325V (6384) vs 300V (6AR6).
Grid voltage range is +5.0V to -200V DC. Heater-cathode voltage max is +/-450V.
Originally designed for pulse amplifier and radar sweep applications; adopted by audio designers for its high-perveance characteristics and sonic quality.
Triode-strapped data sourced from the Tung-Sol 6AR6 datasheet (the 6384 is the ruggedized version of the 6AR6 with identical internal structure). Parameters apply to the 6384 at the stated operating point.
