The 6AG5 was widely used in early television receivers as an RF amplifier and IF amplifier. The 6186/6AG5-WA is the ruggedised military version.
In pentode connection: at Va=250V, Vg2=150V, Vg1=-5.5V, Ia=5.5mA, Rp=10kΩ (approx), Gm=3800 umhos. At Va=100V, Vg2=100V, Ia=4.5mA, Gm=4500 umhos.
In triode connection (g2 tied to plate): at Va=180V, Rk=330Ω, Rp=8000Ω (approx), mu=45, Gm=5700 umhos. At Va=250V, Rk=820Ω, Rp=8000Ω (approx), mu=42, Gm=3800 umhos.
Capacitances vary depending on presence of external shield (pin 7). With external shield: Cgp=0.020 max pF. Without shield: Cgp=0.030 max pF.
