Similar Tubes (Not Drop-In Compatible)
Same Noval 9HF pinout and identical Section 1 (mu=17.5). Section 2 differs: 6DE7 has lower gm (6.5 vs 7.5 mA/V), higher ra (925 vs 800 ohms), and lower Pa_max (7W vs 10W). Same Noval 9HF pinout but Section 1 has much higher mu (68 vs 17.5). Section 2 similar. Brans cross-lists in same group. Brans cross-lists in same group. Octal (8BD) vs Noval (9HF) base. Section 1 has much higher mu (68 vs 17.5). Same Noval 9HF pinout. Section 1 mu=64 vs 17.5. Section 2 similar (gm=7.5 mA/V, Pa_max=10W). Brans cross-lists. Brans cross-lists in same group. Novar base. Section 1 has much higher mu (64 vs 17.5). Different base and pin topology. Electrical Specifications

Notes
Dissimilar dual triode: Section #1 (medium-mu, pins 5/6/7/8) serves as vertical deflection oscillator; Section #2 (low-mu, pins 1/2/3/9) serves as vertical deflection amplifier. The 9T9 design utilizes a T-9 (1-1/8" diam.) bulb based to fit most standard 9-pin miniature sockets. Except for heater characteristics and heater warm-up time, the 6EW7 is identical to the 10EW7 (Tung-Sol datasheet). Section #1 connects to pins 6, 7 and 8. Section #2 connects to pins 1, 2, 3 and 9. Heater positive with respect to cathode must not exceed 100V DC component. Pin Layout — Noval
