Sharp cutoff beam triode for horizontal deflection and high-voltage regulation. Compactron 12-pin base (Duodecar B12C).
Pins 5, 6, 8, 9 are internal connections — do not connect externally.
SAMS lists 6HS5 = 6HV5 = 6HV5-A as substitutes. The 6HV5A has slightly higher heater current (1.8A vs 1.5A) and higher Pa_max (35W vs 30W).
Application data is for horizontal deflection service: Va=3500V (pulse), Vg1=-4.4V, Ia=300mA peak, ra=4600 ohm, gm=65 mA/V.
