Notes
The EL13 is the Y8A steel-tube version of the EL8. Both share identical electrical characteristics but different bases (Y8A vs P8A), so they are not pin-compatible drop-in replacements.
Pin 3 connects cathode and suppressor grid internally. The suppressor grid consists of only two vertical rods bridged above the top mica — a minimal suppressor structure.
The EL42 (Rimlock base) is listed by Radiomuseum as the successor type.
No online datasheets were found for the EL13 specifically. Parameters are sourced from the r-type.org exhibit page. Several universal parameters (Va_max, Vs_max, mAs, ra, Pa_max, Ps_max, Pout, rl, Ik_max, Vhk_max, Rg_max) could not be confirmed from available sources.
