19V heater version of the 6BG6G. Heater current is approximately 0.3A at 18.9V (valve_equivalents) for series-string operation in AC/DC TV receivers.
SAMs substitution guide lists 19BG6GA as a direct substitute.
The plate (anode) connection is via a top cap — this provides high-voltage insulation needed for TV horizontal deflection service where peak plate voltages can reach 6600V.
Maximum peak positive plate voltage is 6600V and peak negative plate voltage is 1500V — these extreme ratings are for TV flyback pulse operation.
In stages operating with grid-leak bias, an adequate cathode bias resistor is required to protect the tube in the absence of excitation.
