Notes
The 6Z4 is the same tube as the type 84, renumbered under the 6-series heater voltage naming convention. Often marked as 84/6Z4 or 6Z4/84.
Originally developed by Sylvania, first marketed by Philco in March 1933.
Tube voltage drop at 60 mA DC per plate: 20V.
With condenser input filter: Va_max=325V RMS per plate, Idc_max=60 mA, effective plate supply impedance 65 ohms per plate.
With choke input filter: Va_max=450V RMS, Idc_max=60 mA, minimum input choke 10 henrys.
When filter condensers larger than 40 µF are used, additional plate supply impedance may be necessary.
