Designed for low-voltage operation (200 V max on both anode and screen). Datasheet provides two sets of typical operating conditions: Va=135 V and Va=200 V.
Grid #1 circuit resistance: 0.1 MΩ max for fixed bias, 0.5 MΩ max for cathode (self) bias.
Grid #2 voltage rating depends on tube application: up to 200 V for screen-grid voltages up to 100 V; see Grid-No.2 Input Rating Chart for voltages between 100 and 200 V (per RCA data).
Pin 1 is no connection on glass-envelope types (6Y6G, 6Y6GA); on the original metal-envelope 6Y6 it connects to the shell.
Pin 8 connects to both the cathode and the internal beam-forming plates (which serve the suppressor function).
6Y6GA is the later straight-sided (GT-shape) glass version with identical electrical ratings to the 6Y6G.
