Electrically identical to one section of the 6SN7 twin triode. Two 6J5s can substitute for one 6SN7 with appropriate wiring.
Pin 1 is the metal shell (internal shield) connection; it should be grounded.
The 6C5 is a similar medium-mu triode but has slightly different capacitances and a different pinout (pin 1 = shell, pin 3 = plate, pin 4 = grid, pin 5 = cathode).
The 12J5 is the 12.6V heater series equivalent.
