6P5GT — Small Signal Triode, Octal | TubeofileKnown Equivalents & Substitutes
Similar Tubes (Not Drop-In Compatible)
Earlier type with same electricals but UY5 base — not pin-compatible Similar single triode with same Octal pinout — different mu (20 vs 13.8) Similar medium-mu triode (mu=20 vs 13.8) with Octal base — close but different electrical characteristics Electrical Specifications

Notes
- From Tung-Sol/RCA datasheets: the 6P5GT/G is a detector amplifier triode with electrical characteristics identical to the type 76.
- Maximum ratings: Va_max=250V, Pa_max=1.25W.
- Typical operating conditions at Va=250V: Vg=-13.5V, Ia=5mA, ra=9500Ω, gm=1450 µmhos, mu=13.8.
- At Va=100V: Vg=-5V, Ia=2.5mA, ra=12000Ω, gm=1150 µmhos, mu=13.8.
- Uses intermediate 6-pin Octal base (G-6Qa pattern). Pin 1 is No Connection.
- Curves for the 6P5GT/G are the same as for the 56 and the 76 per the datasheets.
