Originally designed as a series regulator pass tube for voltage stabilizers, but adopted by audiophiles for single-ended amplifier output stages.
Indirectly heated with a heavy-duty cathode capable of high continuous current.
The tube has a relatively low plate resistance making it suitable for direct-coupled cathode follower designs.
Available in standard and ruggedized variants.
